Measure Your Waste Challenge

Leaders in our student community are taking up the challenge (Week 1 challenge sent to us by Sandy Murray from UTAS). The extra time we are spending at home currently could give us an opportunity to look at this with fresh eyes and energy to tackle the mountains of rubbish we are burying in the ground (see War on Waste if you would like refreshers on the problem).

The challenge is to reduce the amount of rubbish you send to landfill:

• Take on the challenge in your own home (instead of unit, our community is also likely to have farm/acreage)
• You could challenge other friends/families to participate in the activity – forward the document to them and compare your progress and results
• Post something on social media about what you are doing and invite any questions
• Share your hacks/results with the other participants
